The Middle School Student Life program offers opportunities for students to connect, explore interests, contribute to their community, and have fun!

During these formative years, students begin to develop a stronger sense of identity, independence, and responsibility within a group. Through advisory, community gatherings, enrichment programs, and shared experiences beyond the classroom, students build relationships, develop new skills, and engage in the life of the school.

Milton 
Advisors

Advisors at Milton serve as a connecting link between students, parents and the School. Every student has an advisor who is responsible for overseeing the student's holistic experience and who is available to offer guidance and support at any time. The advisor sees all advisees formally twice a week during advisory period and is also available to meet regularly with advisees on an individual basis. Advisory is where students build some of their closest relationships at school, sharing morning check-ins, celebrating birthdays and milestones, working through the ordinary ups and downs of middle school life, and simply having a trusted adult and small group of peers who know them well.

Middle School Community Meetings bring our division together to build a strong, connected community.

These gatherings center student voice and leadership through shoutouts, celebrations, and student-led moments that let students see, hear, and lead one another. They're also a space for key announcements, tone-setting, and reinforcing the values that guide how we work and learn together.

Grounded in our community values of Authenticity, Initiative, and Dignity, the program encourages a sense of belonging where students take initiative in pursuing their interests and activities and contribute meaningfully to their community.

Enrichment & Skill-Based Opportunities

The Middle School offers competitive academic team programs as well as community service and other student leadership initiatives that allow students to collaborate with peers to develop skills around shared interests.
